Kelly I would wait till a little bit further along, you don't know how quickly Ty will start walking and how far he will be able to walk once bubs is actually here.

I keep looking at P&T prams for the double kit and DD is going to be 22months before we even start TTC lol. Fairly sure she will be walking most of the time if we went anywhere and will probably stick bubs in a pack, DP wants to get an ergo for the next one.

We have the same age gap and i didn't buy one but now have changed my mind. At first i used frontpack/sling for the baby but find that i want to be more free than that allows now. I also thought ds might be better able to walk but we walk heaps and he's just too little and slow. He is a very chilled out guy and i think will still want to be in there in another year tbh so we're looking on tme.

Friends have kids though who refuse to go in pram so depends on personality i think. We held out till baby almost 4 months and still no hurry. I've got the same age gap as you I think, about 21 months, but I walk all of the time all over the place. We ended up with a second hand P&T sport. We live rurally and everything is on the main street, so no point taking a car, but at the same time when I look at where DD is at now, asking her to walk that far down, and then around and back, will probably be too much. Especially when the weather isn't ideal and we need the covers on.

So I guess it just depends

Nah none of the MB have toddler seats but I see on TM you can get those toddler boards which might fit? They stand on them while you push lol

So have you decided against investing in a double?

I have a 19 month age gap between my youngest two and we have decided to invest in a Mountain Buggy Duo because I do plan to do a bit of walking with it.

Looking on TM the seem to hold there value really well so shouldn't loose too much money if you choose to sell it at a later date.

I plan on using the sling/wrap for baby when jae is in the pram, and swapping them over when jae is able to walk etc, I tried a wrap when jae was about 4 months, and wished I'd got one sooner!

We have a 24mth gap and I have a phil & teds so got the attachment which was great. Its alot narrower than a double buggy so easier to get around the shops -- so i really liked it at first. Its a bit harder getting the bub in the back as they get bigger tho. Jake was as slow as a wet week when waskling (toddler time) - or even slower - and quite happy to sit in the buggy so I much preferred that to letting him walk!! And there is no way I'd want to lug around Morgan in a sling - she was over 9lbs to begin with and I'm quite small!! When Morgan was about 7 months we got a cheap little side-by-side stroller as we were planning to go overseas - and we still use it all the time. They love sitting next to each other, and if Jake wants to walk he can. Sometimes we use the P&Ts still, like at the zoo, so if Jake gets tired he can get in.

To be honest I never went on big walks once I had both of them (western springs a few times) cos it was so blumen heavy to push them both!

We had a sgle MB with Jack and bought a dble MB before Ben was born (26mth gap) and it has been a really good investment. I am not a person who walks but found that I did need to get out of the house and it was great to throw them both in it, several times I ended up with them both asleep.I have found it really good for when I am out as I hate to walk at Jack's slow pace and he is happy to sit in it, they can both see out as well as opposed to having one in front of the other. I think we have got our $$ worth. Have to say I am glad we kept the sgle as well though as that comes in handy sometimes too

I would probably wait until bubs is born and see what suits them. We have got the MB and the kiddy board, but Tom isn't a huge fan of the buggy so I always have him in the moby and then Ella in the buggy.

I don't think you need a double but I would def be looking at gettinga buggy with a toddler attachment.

I have 21/22 months between my two and use my buggy all the time. We have been on holiday alot and also we are out and about alot. I do use my sling but really found after the first 8 weeks it was easier to have my buggy with me as then they could both chill out more.

We're gonna have an 18 month gap and we have a MB urban which we LOVE...so DF insisted we buy a MB double...sigh. I was gonna be quite happy using my moby for the newborn and pushing Clodagh in the pram but we got a v good deal on TM lol. Even if we only have the double buggy 6 months then we ought to get our money (mostly) back.

I have a twin stoller for my car cos I find the double buggy too heavy to lift however I think it'll end up being a good inveestment with the amount of hill walking I do! And now we have a bassinette attachment for the jolly thing too!

I had a 21 month age gap between my 2 and was the same as Bizzy, only used the double a few times with both of them. I ended up carrying Drew around in the ergo and when he was a bit bigger he was constantly on my hip in the sling. I reckon a carrier is the way to go unless you needed it for walking etc

oh and I think I said it on FB but CONGRATS again on the pregnancy!!

) and Lewie HATES it. Won't go in it. I ended up with him in the Moby for a few months then bought a SSC. Depends on how far you want to walk really? I used a sling all the time when Cooper was young. I was doing kindy & then school pick ups since he was a week old & he sleep really well in there. I do what EsmesMum said and often swap them round. And if bub is in the stroller and Em is walking, I put Em in her harness and loop the strap around the buggy handle so she can't take off. But bear in mind that only works if you're walking slowly around the shops etc i.e. not going for a power walk. If you didn't want to get a double buggy or toddler seat you could carry bubs in a carrier (sling/wrapetc) and have Ty in the buggy. do I just need a toddler seat attachment or , do I need to get double buggy ??
What do other mums (and dads) of toddlers and newborns do ?
Ty will be about 20/21 months when this baby is born , so will hopefully be walking , but there will be times Im sure when we're out and he will want a sleep too .

What to do ?
