I had white blonde hair until i was ten and have hazel eyes. after age ten i started dying my hair so now its dark brown, no idea what shade it is naturally. My husbands hair is such a dark brown it looks black. (he is 1/2 rarotongan) and he has brown eyes.
So, our first daughter was born with chocolate brown hair, which all fell out and grew back blonde, which then gradually darkened again and is now a dark blonde/light brown shade. her eyes are big and blue! we each have a blue eyed parent so there ya go.

our 2nd child is brunette, (born that way and stayed that way) and has lovely brown eyes, just like her daddy.

Jack has gone lighter with really blue eyes too. At least her hair is changing rather than falling out. Jake andTaine have huge dark eyes- Jake's are nearly black - but both have my hair colouring and complexion - no sign of the islander or maori really. But Jake goes caramelly in summer (sigh - i go red , then brown - but white is cool now right?). not sure about Taine but bet he does the same. Andie, both myself and Kiya's bio father have green eyes but Kiya's are brown! Ella is just the cutest wee button in her pics!  I'll bet you get heaps of comments on her. 

I'm the only redhead in my family - after learning basic bio at high school I came home convinced I was adopted and no-one had told me!!  There's a high chance our bubs will have red hair since I was born with it, and hubby gets faint reddish highlights... we'll be blown away if she's blonde or dark (and if she has anything but green eyes, since that's what we both got)!!  But if one more person sends me a "save the poor ginga's" website link or other such joke for our baby I'll SCREAM at them!

Maya had blue eyes when she was born but they changed brown within a couple of weeks. Thats really common in pakeha babies but not so common in Maori babies so must be her half-caste genes.

Can't wait to see what the twins look like. Maya is the spitting image of Willie, except her nose is a little less of a Nga Puhi Bush Maori nose hehe. And her skin color is exactly half way between his (really dark) and mine (olive).

Its amazing the genetics of it all hehe I have brown eyes to but my nana has blue eyes and so does my aunty and some of my cousins so im guessing i carry that gene aswell from my nana. I was born blonde haired, and it changed to mousy brown, hence why i dye it... i don't actually know my real colour any more, although i do know in summer it goes very light. Mike is dark haired and olive skinned, so Paris was born with black hair and olive skin and DARK eyes. She now had a light brown colour hair with blonde bits through it, especially at the ends, and her eyes definately changed... oh so envious of those big blue eyes.
And then out pops Ayja, tiny skinny fair skinned RED haired Ayja!   argh genetics are so random. lol, I know how things work with that but still, our kids couldn't be more different.. I have brown hair and green eyes, as did Kiya's bio father... Kiya has blonde hair and brown eyes.

Ok well my mum has light brown hair and my dad has blonde hair and i was born with pitch black spikey hair!!! Jess, so don't worry, i've been studying genetics in one of my papers and have been learning that child sometimes have random hair colour. Its due to having the ressisive gene in you or Cory.

How to explain it easily is hard.

2 people both have dark hair dark eyes. these people have a 1 in 4 change in having a light haired coloured child. This is because further back in both of your gene pools someone would of had blonde (the ressesive) hair. They have a 2 in 4 or half a change of having a child with dark hair as that is the domiment. And a 1 in 4 change of having a redhead.

She is so totally normal and beautiful.

Ellas eyebrows have changed to a coppery blonde and same with her eyelashes and her hair is changing to that color slowly to lol funny thing is i have dark hair and so does cory, altho corys facial hair is ginger lol and we have both been dark haired from birth lol i think shes picked up some random gene from the pool lol her eyes are turning a brighter blue to lol
