Thanks ladies

I got one at farmers half price so was $50. It covers the whole bed I think (haven't actually opened it yet .   Will see how that goes.

Payless plastic has something called 'hospital sheeting' its that plastic/rubber type sheeting that you can buy by the metre. Hadnt thought of a woollen blanket, thats a good idea keep him warm underneath too.

Good point about the plastic....mmmm

We had the Protect-A-Bed brand one for our bed that was toweling on top and plastic underneath, we found it over heated us, even in winter and made us sweat/perspire. I can't remember the brand but the sell them at Farmers and Big Save.
