I looked after the trip to AKL, I arranged to fly Kylie up to AKL and then arranged all the photo shoots.

The Friday ones we held at people's houses and the Saturday ones were all held at the domain.

Unless someone is willing to drive Kylie around all day, its probably easiest if you all arrange one venue and book out each slot.

Also .. for whomever is going to look after this "event" I would get non refundable deposits to pay for the flights. Wicked.

I couldn't afford to get them down just for me but have been looking at ChCh based photographers and none of them are us cheap or give you as much in their packages.

Flights for Kylie would be about $100 return and then her package is $179 so would be around $200 if we got 5 families on board which is probably all we would need for a day. Her package gets you a DVD with a minimum of 15 photos on it.

Momentz packages start at $250 and flights on top of that, although she usually gives a discount depending on how many people we get on board. You get a DVD with around 25 pictures on it.

In terms of dates in Nov I am pretty flexible but can't do the last weekend as have my 30th and DS's 3rd birthday party so the 27th,28th are out. Keeping in mind that show weekend is usually the second weekend.

In terms of venue it will depend on what we all want etc but am sure whoever we pick can sort it out.

Lottie - they don't usually come but it just happens the last 2 years it has been organised in Nov. I like that time of year as its usually warm enough etc to do outside pics etc.

We might possibly be keen. Just talked to my sister about having a big family photo taken around that time but we haven't discussed it futher as yet.
Are you arranging for them to come down just for you ie paying for flights etc or do they come down at that time every year?
What do you think you would get for the $220-$250?
Is there a certain place they do the photo shoot or can you arrange your own place?
I have seen Kylies work and think it is fantastic. Have just looked at Momentz website and they look great too. I wouldn't mind which person took the pics.

I have had photos taken by Momentz in Nov the last 2 years and am keen to get photos again this year. I have had a nose at the photographers around chch but none of them are as good as deal as Momentz or Kylie's.

I am happy to go with whoever but am keen to see if anyone else would be interested? This would bring the cost right down etc.

Yes, its not until Nov but this way it gives people the chance to start thinking and saving.
