I have just got a referal from my GP to take my daughter to an eye specialist (in SEPT!) If you have a community services card it is free to see a specialist up to the age of 16 - i think its limited to @$250 per year.

I am pretty sure a normal optometrist would be able to do it, and if need be would refer you to a specialist if he has any concerns?

ETA: Not sure if it would cost, but I assume it will.

The plunket nurse wants me to get Codys lazy eye checked. Can I just go to my normal optometrist or do I have to go to a specialist? And will it cost anything?
