5 is pretty much when the head is on the way out...so anything up to 3 is pretty good before established labour. You'll also begin to feel like you have a large grapefruit stuck between your legs whenever you have to walk anywhere! not too early especially in a first pregnancy. i have noticed that as bubs has been slowly dropping this time, that i have been getting stabbing kinds of pains down my thighs at times. and my "bump" looks different. but my bubs is up and down all the time (again think thats common in subsequent pregnancies because of the stretched uterus??!!!

Hi, juts wondering, how do you know when baby is about to drop?? Are there any signs or do they just drop overnight?? I keep getting lots of funny movements really low, like pressure.
