I don't think you have to go to the doctor as such. I basically wasted my money when I went, but I only went because I didn't know what else to do.

I got the same as you. "Well done, we don't need to do another test if you've tested positive on two urine tests, here's a referral for some blood tests." Maybe if you have existing health problems or something? But I definitely won't bother going next time.

I know this site has quite a few phone numbers on it.

Also do you have to see your Dr at all, last time I was pregnant I assumed I should and he basically said congrats and left me to it - but are you supposed to go?

Ok, I have left a message on the pager no for birth options.

Do you have tel nos for any of these others - when I try and look them up I find nothing, think I am doing something wrong!!!

I had Christine Griffiths - she delivers in the hutt though. Yeah Michelle is Ngaio but does Ngaio to northern suburbs, her back up is Rachel McTavish who works out of Jville along with Victoria P.

I am with birth options, Victoria is mine, I meet her next week but she sounds lovely on the ph and is a dr as well apparently! She works out of Johnsonville, another of my friends has Cherie and recommends her highly (used her for both her kiddies) she works out of the Porirua one. Their pager number is 026 111575 just say you are expecting and your due date and one will call you back.
Otherwise Michelle Vincent is meant to be great, I couldn't get her but my sis in law had her, and a lot of people say she is good. I think she is based in Ngaio though?

Hi,

I need a midwife.

I did not get on with my last one that well, before the birth ok, but after the birth not so good.

Anyway I am in pukerua bay, anyone know of anyone they would recommend.

Someone said birth options, but i can't find any details on that at all????
