When we first moved Caitlin into her own room we had the baby monitor turned up to maximum volume, thinking we might not hear her... one month later, the monitor is almost on minimum so we don't hear her "talking" in her sleep only when she actually wakes up for feeds. I also noticed that her cries have gotten so much louder! Week 2 we couldn't hear her outside her door, week 3 we could hear her in our bedroom (next door), now we can hear her outside the house! LOL

I feel mean saying that I've got an off switch on mine!! In saying that though, after Ashlee's projectile vomit the other day, both hubby and I jumped so quickly out of bed to her when she made a bit of a choking/coughing sound the other night. She was fine haha

I use the off switch only when I know she's tired but she's screaming her lungs out and doesn't want to go to bed. We don't use our monitor anymore either which has HUGELY helped the sleep! I used to be the lightest sleeper in the world!!! My Mum used to decorate my sister's room for her birthday while she slept during the night. I never had that as I would always wake up so Mum used to have to decorate the lounge (Mind you, that was still pretty cool).

Now, I'm pretty sure I could sleep through a train going through our house. Legacy of sleeping with Han in my room for a year or so. I had to learn to sleep through crying when we were doing the crying it out thing!

Like Aimee said, it does get better the more relaxed you get and the longer you have had the bubba, LOL, I don't even wake up at night if/when he cries in his sleep anymore, only if it is the big hysterical crying (which he doesn't do anymore... Hmmm, I think mine just kind of wore off as we got more relaxed and we all settled into our new life. Sometimes now I dont wake up until I hear Daniel get up! Is there such a thing?

I ask this kind of in jest, I realise I may never be able to switch off to all the little grunts, moans, snorts and sighs that Erin makes in her sleep - but when I know that it's just a noise and not her waking up, I can't seem to just fall back to sleep very easily at all. This sucks purely because I know I'd feel so much more rested in the mornings if I could just tune the minor squeaks out. And it's not that I mind getting up for night feeds either...
