I had a chest infection while preggers and was given antibiotics, steriods and an inhaler. Although I wasn't in a good way and was having such trouble breathing. Best to get these things checked so they don't turn nasty while you've got your little bub on board.
As for things at home - its honey and lemon drinks and I found steamy showers helped me breathe.
Hugs - hope it all clears up soon.
At first it started off just sore and dry but now it's gone to my chest, Im wheezing when I breathe and coughing up flem (sorry if TMI) and I suspect there might be an infection or something more going on than just a cough.

I went to the chemist on Wednesday to see if there was anything I could take and they advised me against just about everything because of the risk/things not being proven to be safe. So Ive just had some lozenges that are honey and blackcurrant juice, nothing else in them, but it's not really helping.

Normally if I had a cough like this I would go to the doctor but I don't want to go to the doctor only to be told there's nothing they can do because I'm pregnant.

What should I do? Can you take antibiotics when pregnant? Is there anything the doctor can do?

Thanks for your help
