Yup know how you all feel! We have just had 1 baby born to a mate (They werent trying & she drank during the pregnancy) and we have another 5 due before March.
DF kept saying we need to do this, or we need to do that before we start trying.

Jealous is an understatement.
I cry everytime I hear of someone getting pregnant, and then again when their babies are born. I cant help thinking, "why cant it be my turn?"

My BFF has just had baby #2, and we both starting trying for #1 at the same time.

I know I am blessed to have a son already. But when he was a "Surprise" pregnancy, I never would have thought it would take this long TTC for #2.

CC i think we are the age where a lot of people are getting UTD. Everytime i look on facebook someone new is UTD (and that isnt counting the OB girls)

I thought that it was just weird that I was envious/jealous of others round me that were getting pregnant, we have just had 2 girls at work that have left to have babies and now there are another 2 who have just found out they are pregnant.


Babies are just everywhere at the moment, oh well I will have my turn soon

When I was pregnant with C , my best and oldest friend got pregnant when I was about 7 months pregnant , and I was sooooo jealous, I was convinced she had done it on purpose because she was jealous of me getting the attention and now that she was pregnant , everyone would forget about me , and only care about her .
That didn't happen tho , and C and her daughter are bestest friends, so it worked out well ...

I don't think anyone should feel guilty about feeling jealous. When you want something soooooo badly more than anything you've ever wanted, you can't help but feel that way. It's not like you're feeling jealous because you don't want others to get pregnant, you just really want that to be you and thats so natural. Jealousy is not a nice emotion but it's one we have, so I don't think you need to feel bad. I'm ashamed to say that I to get jealous. Lately everytime I run into someone from high school they have a baby under six months or are due to pop and none of them are planned. I'm very sad for your loss Babe - that is about the worst thing you can go through.

My mum had the same thing happen to her - went away with a group of friends right after MC and her best friend announced she was preggers - tried to keep away from her for the whole weekend.... it still is a painful memory even now, 35 years later.

I'm going to go against the grain with this one. I can honestly say that I never get jealous and I have friends popping out babies all over the place. I'm not sure why that is, I just know I'm happy with everything right now. I know I will have a baby one day but I try to live in the 'right now' and enjoy the moment and the things I have rather than focussing on what I don't have. This jealousy thing is so weird... since I've been pregnant and heard other people are pregnant Ive felt a bit jealous and I couldn't for the life of me tell you why! It's almost like you get programmed to feel that!

I MC'd at 13 weeks in 2009 and it was my mums big 50th birthday bash and I had to go. Nobody knew I was pregnant or having an MC and my cousin announced her pregnancy. I was shattered. My DP is wonderful though and he just kept me together while I acted happy and congratulated them then he held me all night while I grieved. It was the second time it had happened - I'd MC'd in 2008 and 2 days afterwards my best friend told me she was pregnant I was only 9 weeks along that time and again only DP and I knew, but still sucked.

Yes, and the longer it takes to conceive, the harder it hurts every time you hear of another person. I don't begruge anyone their BFP's if they're wanted, but it just reminds me that I haven't got one, and why does my body have to be the one that isn't working properly, when "everyone else" seems to conceive quickly.

In all fairness I do have 3 kids (from a previous relationship) but since being with my new DH and with nothing happening it is a little heart breaking with all these people around me getting UTD. DH loves the kids to bits but I know he would absolutely love one of his own that's why we are trying so hard. But yet nothing happens. Yeah I used to be jealous of people who had one baby and were trying for another and they were getting cross after a couple of months with not getting BFP...I was like what have you got to complain about!! I cried a few times when people got their BFPs...nothing wrong with that, better to get the emotion out than bottle it in if you ask me.

Now I am one of those people with a baby ttc and feel really stink sometimes coming on here!!

Yup, totally! Especially after my mc.... I even was jealous of my bf who announced her first pg a few months before this pg... I already had a baby and had only just started TTC number 2 but I was so upset...

Sad thing is I am jealous of people who get pg first go (both her and my sil did) and who never had a mc.... I wouldnt wish the pain on anyone but am jealous that pg is innocent and wonderful for them and that I had to suffer such pain.

I feel like everyone I know is preggers right now lol. I get so clucky but not neccesarly jealous. I guess since I already have the girls I feel pretty blessed. Yes, its started to get harder after 2 years of trying!!

I just found out the other day that my good friend got pregnant (she goes out with my Husbands brother, she has one child and he has three, both to different people) and she had an abortion. I was sooo jealous of people getting UTD, I hated how bitter it made me. I was also really jealous of people on here getting there BFPs, still happy for them, but definitely jealous too... I felt peed off spending so long in the charting thread and seeing so many people come and go and wondering why it wouldn't happen for me.... Yes, didn't you know becoming a mother and being a mother is a competitive sport. Well at least I didn't until I started TTC.
Its one of those things in life which your supposed to be able to do easily when it doesn't happen that way its so easy to get competitive and jealous when someone gets ahead of you.

SIL announced that she was preg again about 7 weeks ago and ive hardly spoken to her since, and we were really close too.

it hurts.
