I also don't know what are the good forms of laxitives (natural like Andie) as I never had a problem. I have top be careful cause if I do take something to unbung then the rest after the 'plug' is out (hehe I am trying to make this sound as nice as poss) is very runny and so makes me go heaps afterwards. All I can do I guess is wait till Midwife comes next friday and mention it to her (the other time it happened she wasn't bothered).

I am also getting ver big for my 25 weeks (I reckon I may be further on but the scan was true to my dates) and the pressure from that doesn't help.
I have to take loads of iron supplements which coupled with pregnancy led to a nasty bout with constipation. I had a similar toilet scare, phoned my midwife who didn't seem concerned (because it was very red blood and therefore 'fresh') and said that it would have been an internal hemmorhoid that had torn. I hadn't felt it earlier and had to be extra careful afterwards to let it heal - which led to a couple of months with lactulose. Given your Crohns disease, perhaps more natural forms of fibre would be better? Up the water intake and look for the brown rice instead of white? In any case, I hope you are feeling better - and I would definitely mention it to your LMC.
I think healthline is nationwide now. There phone number is in the phone book. Its normal to get hemoroids during pregnancy and birth. I think maybe then can bleed?? Was quite sure it was to do with my Crohns disease and being bunged up again went to the toilet and when wiping myself there was alot of blood (and in the toilet) had to check which 'hole' it was but lucky (????) it was bum. Question is what should I do. I have crohns which one day I will not be able to get off the toilet for going so much but then I get constipated and get very sore pains for days until I go. As intestines are damaged can get rather sore. Should IZ be bothering the midwife about it as last time early in pregnancy I said I was getting constipated and she said to take medimusal (spelling) and it made me go too much even a small dose. There not alot I can do I guess but as I get bigger the pressure is going to be worse. Anyone else have this problem (even minus the crohns disease)?
