Mine says on it "3-18 months, max weight 30kg" so Mikey should be fine!

Maya loved hers, loved being on her feet, and we started her in it at 3 mths. A big thing in being ready too is head control - they have to have enough strength in their neck to support their head.

I had a chat with this very subject with my Plunket Nurse. See, Jolly Jumpers are meant to be designed so that they protect the soft spine and hip bones in young babies, but moderation is the key, especially if you start them off young! 5 to 10 min blasts at a time, and if you are worried at all, go get a hip check from your Dr or the Practice Nurse. i have heard that there feet should be flat on the ground before they start bouncing or it can teach them to walk on their toes or something

I think there has been a post in the past about this- I know that I had heard that they shouldn't be in them for prolonged periods and we chose to never have Charlotte in hers for longer than 10 minutes (something about jarring their backs??).
