I think you have an advantage of having been induced with #1, you have an idea of what you would be choosing between. So at least you can make an informed choice between continuing or being induced.

I agree with Hippy Mama - can you call on people to help you out? And at least you have an end in sight, even if it's 42 weeks, thats not really so far away (I know it seems like it now though!).

Thanks ladies for your replies.
Have decided that I really dont want to get induced unless it gets really unbearable.Would rather bubs come when he's ready.

HippyMama-I've already got my boy in creche 5 days as weeks as I'm also still suffering from hyperemisis ,so there's no way that I can manage him,especially as we have no family here in N.Z.Have also been seeing an osteo and a pyhsio.

I had SPD and sciatica with my second bub and was on crutches from 38 weeks, I was nigh on 42 weeks before I gave birth and survived - I figured if I had to I would call in childminding favors (for my older child) and go to bed rest if that's what it took.

So, I'd look at what support options are available to you to help you get through - getting friends or family in to help with chores, a local creche for your eldest to give you extra rest time (I did both of these), and also what other methods of pain relief there might be for you. I saw an osteopath when it really started to affect my mobility, and also an acupuncturist.

I say if you can handle the pain until bubs arrives then no to the induction... if its unbearable then do it....

Just wondering if anyone has been induced due to severe SPD pain?
This is my second pregnancy and have been suffering from SPD since I was 12 weeks.Am now nearly 36 weeks and on crutches .

Saw a specialist at the hospital during the week and she thinks I should be induced at 38 weeks because of the pain.Am not really that keen as was induced with #1 and thought it was awful.
