i had them at 39 wks and obstetrician told me to make a cup of tea, and keep the teabag, let it cool and place on a pad and directly on to haemmoroid/s. I was in agony up to then and couldnt even sit or sleep - and a bit sceptical but was up to trying anything. And,,, OMG it worked!! Followed up with a couple of days of applying distilled witchhazel and all sorted, Still there but no pain!! Yeah I found warm water helped too babyg, and Im the the same the fissures are nasty and I bleed often when i go as well, its awful!

Yes, I had them during my pregnancies but much, much worse after birth and I do find the anal fissures way more painful than the actual roids, I still bleed every time I toilet. My Doc only ever prescribes me more ultraproct which does nothing. I've also tried pawpaw with little effect. I find soaking in a warm bath does ease some discomfort but it is shortlived. To be honest I found my bottom-troubles much worse than labour - I tell my DH that I swear my babies must come out of the wrong hole

Oh ouch yeah I have one that flares up now and again and woth my second pregnancy it was really friggin sore, I also used that Anusol cream and it was great.

Oh ouchies! You poor thing! I had them when I was preg but was too embarrassed to say anything to my MW so just kinda put up with them! They were so painful tho! I had them very very bad while pregnant, from early on. I used Anusol cream (applied on the external ones) and popped them back in when I could (usually in the shower)....pretty gross, but just one of those things. Aww, poor hun, that doesn't sound like fun. I have them too, but it does sound like yours might be a bit worse than mine, I've just figured mine are one of the less pleasant side effects of pregnancy and although they'll probably get worse (gah!) when I have the baby they should go away later. Has anyone else suffered from very bad external in the later stage of pregnancy? I have a week before bubs is due and they only reared their ugly head last night! I can't believe it.

I'm wondering if they will need surgery to correct as (tmi) but they are rather large!

anyones experience would be appreciated as I'm finding them rather uncomfortable but possibly more disturbing than anything else Lol.
