You could ring the medlab and check about appointments.]]>

I am/was deemed high risk for gestational diabetes as my mother had it with all 3 of her pregnancies. With my 2nd and 3rd pregnancies I skipped the first test and went straight to the 2hr one...passed with no problems. The failure rate for the polycose test is pretty high, so try not to worry too much <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0"> ]]>

How high if you don't mind me asking was your polycose?</P><P align=left>&nbsp;</P><P align=left>My initial polycose result in first pregnancy was 10.5. Then the 2 hour glucose tolerance test came back at 9.5 at 2 hours. SO yes lead on to GD.</P><P align=left>&nbsp;</P><P align=left>I do know however, 3 other friends who had high polycose tests, but normal GTT's and were diagnosed with "imparied glucose tolerance" rather than gestational diabetes.</P><P align=left>&nbsp;</P><P align=left>Probably not much help though sorry!</P>]]>
