Got it at new world for $6 something. Small white and pink bottle with a pump spray not aeresol. I had trouble finding it with all the other air fresheners. We used it when the cat was locked by miss 4year old in the rumpus room. He dug in the bean bag and did his best but he was in there all night. Beans don't absorb so it went thru to the carpet a little. For general freshness we use oust but nil odor is the best for the direct application.

I tried vinegar and baking soda and it worked a wee bit when left in the sun to dry, but still smelt revolting. I asked on here and someone said Nilodor is great. And it is! Removed the smell after one application. Got it from a chemist. Have used it to really good effect on a few other things around home too.

We had a similar problem recently, our elderly cat developed incontinence due to the stress of having our new baby in the house. I googled 'cat urine removal' and found a combination of baking soda and vinegar which worked really well. Also you can add hydrogen peroxide to the mix - just as long as its on things that won't lighten (not carpet!).

Did it come through a cat door? If you still need to use your cat door for your own cat, those magnetic ones are great - and they keep all the riff raff out

Good luck
