I understand what you mean about the bamboo being wet, and as long as the shell isn't wet then you shouldn't have leakage problems.
Maybe you could use a microfleece or flushable liner to create a stay-dry layer. My preference is to use microfleece, because its so much softer! Then just wash the microfleece liners with the nappies.

It is everything else that is soaked. And yep obviously the pads are there to soak up the wetness, but I thought they weren't supposed to sit wet against babies skin?

I think the new pop-in I've just bought might be bamboo? I'm not sure. I think the nappy has on the tag, pop'in original?

She is too much of a heavy wetter, I figure the microfibre soaks it up quicker then can pass it down to the bamboo to lock it up.

You can't put the fluffy bit of microfibre close to babies bottom but like cloth mummy said the Suede, smooth bit is fine.

If your baby is a heavy wetter then the bamboo with the bamboo boosters will be the better nappy but you might just need to get into the habit of changing more often to ensure the outer shell doesn't get wet.

    Author: Dani01
Subject: 35949
Posted: 27 September 2010 at 8:07pm

Yes, me again!!!

Okay so I've washed my pop-in's and they're now absorbant enough to use. So we aren't leaking..which is awesome!

But, I thought that the pad things around baby was supposed to be dry? Or am I being silly. It seems to be soaking wet?

So..I thought maybe I needed to put the microfibre on top and the bamboo booster underneath, but I just read in another post not to put microfibre against baby's skin?

I duno. I'm lost!!

I've done what Aethalia told me in another post:-

you should have the shell with two pop in boosters in an hourglass shape, one bigger than the other and the bigger square bamboo booster. pop in the big hourglass one (snaps at both ends), then the smaller one on top, and the bamboo booster goes around them (or under the smaller one and just around the big hourglass). If you want to add more absorbancy add more inserts. It should say on the label what the popin parts are made of. I hope this makes sense

For the next time she wears it, but how do others do theirs, and is the inside what's against baby soaking?

Thanks in advance!
