    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=18897">fire_engine</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 36033<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 01 October 2010 at 3:54pm<br /><br />Yes, we do now have unpasteurised cheese, but it's not in the standard (supermarket brand) cheeses from my understanding - it's usually in the imported cheeses.<br /><br />From the latest FSA info (which has changed since my first trimester!) : <br />unpasteurised - no<br />soft pasteurised (e.g. brie) - if hot (though I eat it if freshly opened)<br />hard yellow - fine but only buy small quantities at a time (oops)<br />cottage/cream/feta - fine if fresh (up to 2 days post opening)<br /><br />Personal choice at the end of the day.<br />]]>

If there is any left over I've been heating it up within a couple of days purchase. <br /><br />But this is just my approach and everything has been fine so far. Everyone has different opinions on what is safe though, so just find out as much as you can, talk to your midwife and then make a decision on what you feel comfortable with. ]]>
