Hi Jaxnz1,
You can make a number one from two rectangle cake tins. Use one for the upright part of the 1 and the other goes across the bottom. Cut a corner (triangle) off the upright part to make the 'sticky out' bit at the top.

Do you have a shop close by that loans them out?

Our local shop loans them out for a few days for $5, you need to pay$10 deposit but that gets returned to you. There's one on trademe, but it's $35 and I'm only going to be using it once, so if anyone has one in their cupboard collecting cobwebs I would be very grateful to buy it/loan it off you.
