Yeah I have tried bottle feeding him... was giving him a bottle feed at night time, about 50-75 mls before offering him the boob and he guzzled it down and was still wanting more. Still, that's a good point about not having servings that are too big... don't want to waste precious EBM!!! I will probably have to have a practise day before hand I think.
Ice cube trays are a good idea... then DH can give DS exactly what he needs.

I have used the glad zip bags, they seem fine.
Another idea is to freeze EBM in ice cube trays (boiled first of course) i measured our tray and it holds 5mls a cube, once they are all frozen, you can defrost what you need (50ml=10 cubes) this works well for us as Evie has more at some times of the day than others

Hi there -- I combine milk from the same day so long as they are same temperature (ie, I cool them down separately first, in the fridge just like you are saying).

Not sure on the ziplock bags -- could you boil them anyway, just to be safe?

Just another comment -- I work 3 days a week and DH feeds DS EBM while I'm at work. DS seems to "snack" from the bottle -- he actually only has about 50ml each time.   Have you tried bottlefeeding your baby yet? You might find that he/she doesn't actually drink that much each go, and maybe 50ml servings are better. A few random questions...
Is it ok to store EBM for freezing in glad ziplock bags? I assume they are pretty sterile since they are meant to be used for storing food... and I don't want to buy specific breast milk bags if I can just use cheapies from the supermarket!
Also, if I have a couple of bottles expressed at different times (but in the same day) is it ok to combine them to freeze, if they are at the same temperature? (IE, they've both been put in the fridge, so I'm not adding warm milk to cold milk).
I'm trying to store some milk as I'm going away for the day in a few weeks, and I only get about 75 - 100 mls at a time. I could store seperately but it would be easier for DH if they were frozen in serving-sized lots.
