Just been reading posts about play mats and for those of you who have not yet found the perfect play mat here you go play mats from Small Small World NZ. amme_eilyk - we have one and it is great my son started to take it apart a lot to begin with - but now he only does it (maybe once a week) not very often.

However be aware that when they bite them the foam can come apart! (This could be why my son stopped pulling it apart, as when he use to pull it apart he would bite it - which meant I took it off him so he soon stopped biting the mat and pulling it apart.)

But we love ours and now have it as two small mats one under his little table and chairs and one as a mat - also thinking of using it in the garage on the floor - for a change scene play this winter.

Have to agree with the others - I got sick of my son pulling the letters out all the time and destroying them! Agree with Bizzy's comment as I watched two 11 month old babies pull one apart just yesterday.
