Hi I do use kids car sunshade to shields baby from the heat and glare of the sun. It makes baby sleep in warm, bright conditions much easer while travelling.

I have some from baby city (they had 3 for $10 back in Feb) I find them great at keeping the sun out (well dimmed) and I have gotten a few and stuck them all over the windows lol (looks a bit odd but does the trick).

We have one of those sock type ones too, but have found recently when it rains the door handle fills up with water and the seat get wet (thankfully the carseat is in the middle seat so that hasn't got wet), I'm so annoyed.

Will probably have to go back to using one of those ugly stick on type ones again.

We brought the ones from super cheap - $20 for two! They go over the door frame and you can get different shapes and sizes for your car. We got sick of the velcro sticky things coming off the car with our window socks so bought ones from outlook that clip to the bottom of the car door instead. Is much easier to see through when driving too which is a bonus. Bought them off the aussie website - we got a pair and that was cheaper than getting 1 here in the baby shops, but still not cheap.

Our back windows are tinted, and we have a stick on window mesh thing from repco that is OK - not great. I bought Window Sox from Kiwibaby for both our cars and have found them great. They are a bit more pricey but they make them specifically to different makes, models and year of car. The best thing is you can put the window down with them on as they fit over the door frame.

We used to use the window sock type ones too, but got sick of them fading and leaving sticky residue on the car door, so gave in and got the rear windows tinted. Way easier.

We had the ones from supercheap and our stick on velcro bits melted too, but only on one side of the car!

We also found a rear windscreen mesh thing that worked ok. Depends on your car. We have a subaru wagon and the store bought ones didn't fit. We ended up buying the generic mesh one from Supercheap, and sewing it to fit the shape of the car. it came with stickon velcro attachments which melted as soon as the sun warmed the car, and as the subaru has no frame round the window we have it held on with little silver bulldog type clips.

It works a treat. No advice sorry, but will be interested to see what others say.
