WOOHOO DH & I have finally made the decision to sell the house. I have been wanting to move for the past 3 years so feels great to have finally made the decision to do this. Just need to do a bit of tidy up and declutter and then we can put it on the market in a month or so

Turns out Tom has some sort of viral infection which is causing his rash. Its nothing serious and not contagious but the rash could be there for up to 6 weeks Just got given some lotion so it doesn't get ichy.

Ella was teaching Tom this afternoon how to play tennis- must be time to get Tom his own racket (my mum owns a tennis shop and runs a tennis coaching prog so Ella will probably start tennis lessons this summer).

Abz- the pharmist seemed to think it probably was an allergic reaction to the washing powder. Am taking him to the doc tomorrow just to double check

You will be fine with 2 kids Janini- like BB said its hard at first but it does go by so quickly and now I sometimes find it easier when both of them are at home because they entertain each other.

Qu- Discovered this evening that Tom's back is covered with tiny red bumps. He seems fine, eating well and doesn't seem sick.  Any ideas of what it could be? DH mentioned heat rash but it seems a bit strange as it wasn't that warm today and Tom definitely wasn't overdressed If its still there when he wakes up in the morning might take him to the docters to get checked out.

Hopefully DH is going to be talking to the bank this week to see what our options are with the house- trying to decide whether to rent our current place and then buy, or sell and buy. I really want to get into a new place over summer and we need a bit more space.

Sasha one day K is going to just decide that she wants to walk and will just walk everywhere and will be really steady on her feet.

Took the kids to Motat this morning- Tom just ran around the place yelling 'car,car,car' at anything with wheels. Think we might get my parents to give us a Motat pass for Toms Xmas present.

Lovely catch up this morning with Kicker and the gorgeous Cameron. Hope the traffice wasn't too bad going home Laura as the motorway looked pretty blocked up when I drove past

I was having a look at the sleepstore website- need to buy a couple of newborn presents for friends. Not going to bother getting any more sleeping bags. I have a summer weight grobag in 18+ mths which Ella only used for a couple of months so that will do Tom for summer and then by the time it cools down next year he should be in a bed with a duvet. Ella moved around heaps in her cot but its amazing how quickly she became used to a duvet in a big bed.  Thats the good thing about moving them into a bed during the warmer months - if they kick the covers off it doesn't really matter and then by the time autumn/winter hits they should be used to it.

Gorgeous day here today and DH came home early this afternoon so he has taken both kids out to the park If this weather continues this weekend think we need to get out into the garden and do a bit of tidying up.

Not much to report here. Tom is now waking just the once in the night around 3am- have figured out thro if I give him a decent feed them (both sides) he will sleep through until 7. I can't be bothered leaving him to cry then so will just go with this for a while- as long as it just the once in the night then thats fine with me.  I think he's also going through a bit of growth spurt as he has been non stopping eating these past couple of days and keeps trying to get in sneaky extra b/f during the day.

Dh's work did some new cabinet fo a winery out at Mystery creek, and we've been invited to go to its opening night.

1. If I'm UTD I can't drink.
2. What the heck do I wear.

yeah I had to explain to her that- she was asking where all the kids were when we visited. No she's going to a public school- most of the schools around here seem to have uniforms. I like the idea of uniforms but I just had a look at the uniform price list and I can see the costing adding up

still super clingy toddler- hopefully its just the teething and when the tooth pops thru he will be back to normal.

Gah super clingy toddler here. He spent all afternoon either on my lap or being carried around by me- super annoying when I was trying to sort out the washing, vacumm etc.

hope all the akl mummies and toddlers are on the mend now. I don't actually think Tom got the bug at all- he was slightly 'off' and had some yucky nappies for a couple of days but didn't have the vomitting that everyone else seemed to have. I think he is teething (which explains the nappies and not really eating) as I can feel a tooth pushing against the gum waiting to break through. No idea why he was lucky enough to escape it.

Took Ella today to pick up the school enrollement pack of the school that I am thinking of sending her to (if we stay in our current house)....she saw the playground and got all excited about going to school and wants to start now (she didn't realise that schools had playgrounds and thought it looked really cool). She is even excited about the uniform- had to break it to its still a wee while before she goes.

Oh and did you know that all ducks are french???? this is according to Miss Ella who on the weekend went around yelling 'bonjour' to all the ducks at the park

OH NO Sasha and M'Moo. Sounds exactly like what i had last weekend- hope you guys didn't catch it from us  Eeekk Sasha glad things calmed down.

gorgous day here so we had a picnic at Western Springs and feed the ducks (well Tom was suppose to but I am sure he ate 1/2 the bread himself).

Tom slept until 5am last night and then again until 8.30

 GG Hope Cale is better soon. With the tummy bug Ella & I had earlier in the week- ours was over in a couple of days (and Ella only spent an afternoon & night really sick) so hopefully it passes soon.

Whats up M'Moo? Is Roo still not well today?

Tom was fine after JB so I think he's pretty much back to normal. He woke once in the night and wouldn't go back to sleep without a feed but then he slept thru to 7.

what a gorgeous day it is here today

both kids seemed to have bounced back quickly from the bug and they are almost back to normal today (although Tom isn't eating but seems happy enough). Good thing to, as I was up every couple of hrs with Ella last night (she ended up sleeping with me as it was too cold to get up all the time) and Tom woke a couple of times (but since he hadn't eaten anything during the day I couldn't really blame him if he was eating).

Getting a bit of cabin fever after being at home for 4 days so if the kids are up to it might venture out to the library this afternoon.

Tom has now decided that EVERYTHING is called a "car"- he really needs to learn a couple of new words to give us a bit of variety.

your snow day sounds awesome Juzzo- I am so jealous of all the places with decent snow falls. I mean seriously the 'snow' in Akl doesn't really count- its just freezing cold.

Kids in bed asleep- early night all around here. Fx Ella manages to get through the night without throwing up. Tom seems quite happy through so I think he only got a very mild case of it (I am thinking the b/f must be helping with his immunity).

OK so Ella is actually sick and she is now vomiting and looking very sorry for herself  So I have Ella throwing up and then Tom grizzling at the same time coz he just wants cuddles all the time and to b/f- what a great day. Plus the washing machine has been going non stop catching up on the washing from the weekend plus all the extra washing generated from the kids. Its  day like this I think its best to just stick with the 2 kids.

Our gas bottle is out of gas so I've had the kids oil heater goign in the lounge for 2 day's. It's so freaking cold. We're all wearign woolies, inside. My poor hands have come out in their stupid dermititus case its so cold.

Tom slept thru until 6.30 last night BUT i definitely think he's a bit sick and he just wanted to cuddle all morning and has already gone back down to sleep without a protest. Ella's claiming she's a bit sick but seems alright at the moment but I am thinking I might just keep her home this afternoon just in case (but I have already told her that if she is staying home she needs to have a sleep this afternoon). I have to give Tom credit through on probably the 2 coldest nights of the year he has decided to sleep thru so I don't have to get up in the middle of the cold, cold night- got to love his timing

going to bed with a book sounds like a great idea Sasha- think i might be doing that soon as well.

Poor Roo doesn't sound really nice. Its weird how the same things affect people differently- Ella used to have heaps of trouble bf when she had a cold but Tom seems to be the complete opposite and has no trouble. Am also wondering if the reason why he had such a good sleep last night was because he is getting sick- we will see.

Yay for K being snot free-  time to bring on spring & summer I think!

I hate to say it Sasha but you will probably find you have got another 9 weeks or so of bad sleeping getting you ready for all the night wakings

Gah I am worried now that Tom's got my tummy bug. He threw up this afternoon and refused to even look at his dinner. He seemed happy enough but I am preparing for the worst.......he's only had the odd cold up until now so have been quite lucky. Ella hasn't been sick for at least 18 mths (not counting colds) and there is a few nasty bugs going around daycare so I wouldn't be surprised if she gets sick as well.  At least I am all good now so am able to look after them.

uh oh DH has taken the kids out and it looks like its about to pour with rain (it was sunny when he decided to go)....might be a very quick trip at the Zoo.

Gah what a crap weekend. Yesterday I came down with some tummy bug and spent all afternoon and evening (until 2am) throwing up every 30 mins or so think I must have gotten 2-3 hrs sleep the entire night (but in 1/2 hr slots as I kept on waking up). Still feel awful this morning so am spending the day in bed (and trying to avoid going into the living room as its a complete mess). DH is attempting to take the kids out to the Zoo this morning. Thank goodness Tom was relatively good last night and I didn't have to go and see him until 3.30. Gah I really wish i could sleep during the day but I only seem to have that ability  when I am pregnant.
