She has had one course of antibiotics about 2 months ago but nothing since and I haven't been on anything.

A lot of the pro-biotic stuff has a dairy base which makes it hard. I think it might be another trip to the Dr lucky it's free!

She has always gone frequently she was poohed every feed as a NB. But it had crossed my mind that it could be something in her diet. She has little dairy (I have hardly any as well) as that can flare her eczema but her skin has been great over the past months with hardly any eczema. It is definitely thrush each time as the creams do clear it up pretty quickly.

    Author: E&L+1
Subject: 36501
Posted: 02 November 2010 at 9:09am

I have been using cloth during the day and sposies at night since DD was about 2 months. I have had no issues with nappy rash until about 2 months ago. They get cold washed with a hot wash about once a month. I use canesten every wash since her nappy rash was flaring. I also do an extra rinse and use minimal powder.

She seems to be getting recurring thrush and I have had her in sposies for about 3 weeks trying to clear it using anti-fungal cream every change when it's bad and once a day when clearish. As soon as she poos it flares everything up in literally a couple of minutes so if I don't catch it as soon as she does one she ends up red raw and sometimes bleeding. She poos 2-3 times a day still so is very regular and gets lots of nappy free time. I have treated her cloth naps but the rash seems to flare quicker if she is in cloth compared to sposies. I have been to the Dr 3 or 4 times when it's gotten bad and they just prescribe a different anti-fungal cream.

I really want to go back to cloth (I am cringing at the cost of sposies each week!) but I know all the cream will effect them. I cant' use flushable liners as DD reacts to them (she has sensitive skin).

Any thoughts?
