Not with pregnancy though. It was a bad desk setup at work, lower spine on a bad angle. I guess baby belly could have the same effect (pushing the lower back around)

I had it really badly with DS, and I started to get it during this pregnancy but found if I cut out sugary food it massively reduced swelling and the carpel tunnel went away.

Talk to your midwife about it, and she probably has some good ideas to help.

Is it worse at night (during sleeping). Sounds like maybe the beginnings of pregnancy induced carpal tunnel. (that's how it starts for me). If it goes onto pins n needles, numb fingers and pain, then it's pretty much likely to be carpal tunnel. It does (usually nearly always) disappear after baby is born. I *think* it's caused by swelling.
If you do get it worse and it is carpal tunnel def def def def get wrist splints. I feel like a dork wearing them (esp in public where everyone wants to talk about them all the time etc etc when i'd rather just hide under a rock). They are semi expensive but out of both my pregnancies so far they have made an ENORMOUS difference to the pain. I'm sitting here typing in them at the moment so you can still do stuff with them on but you can't move your wrist much. Talk to your MW about it, esp if it gets worse (don't wait too long to talk about it like i did first time round)

hugs.
