AnnC - I used to put Maya's baby bath on the kitchen bench or on the table and it was fine. ONly problem was lifting it to empty/fill it as it didn't have one of those flash drain things.

oh and herewego .... it sound like a good idea but I am with the others if its a hassle putting it on top of the bassinette in the middle of the night - don't do it as you want to be quick during the night so they learn that its not time for mucking about and then hopefully learn day and night quicker. also how much during the day wil you use it if it has to be used on the bassinette? Depends if you are keeping bassinette in the lounge during the day or baby room. Somewhat on the subject I have been tossing up for ages whether or not to get a changing table with a baby or just do with the seperate bath and changing mat. I had a folding one with Maya and we used it till she was about 12 mths or so - but she was pretty light. By 12 mths she was too wriggly and could climb off it.

i agree with maria, in the middle of the night you want the changing to be over with as quickly as possilbe, you really don't want to be fiddling around trying to get the cange table on.

i think it would be a pain. Esp at night times when you want to get the whole thing over with as quickly and with as little fuss as poss. Can you look at the bassinette with the change table on it? After loads of research, I have discovered today, that the basinette which I am planning on getting, has the option of a change table attachment, which fits on top of it.

I'm quite excited about it, because in theory, the idea is really good. I figure I wont be changing baby while he's sleeping, so will never need to use both items at the same time. And we have limited space in our house, so the idea of utilising the same framework for two pieces of furniture would definately help in saving space.

But I'm wondering if it might be a hassle having both the basinette and the change table using the same framework? And also wonder whether a folding style change table would be sturdy enough for a baby, as it gets bigger?
