I am hoping to be off Citalopram by my 1yr 'anniversary' so will start dropping my dose around xmas. My GP has me dropping from 20mg to nothing over 2mths which would be a slower withdrawl than yours.
Bear in mind though that this is a very busy time of year and the heat and humidity we have had (well in AKL anyway) can affect your mood. I don't cope too well with the heat and I know that it makes me irritated and sh*tty
Good luck and I hope that you start feeling better soon.

PND manifests itself in so many ways so it would be best to try to keep stable rather than get off the meds so maybe stay on the 20mg for a while because the nurse is right. Sorry the transition isn't going too smoothly and I hope you're able to come off them soon

I've only been on 10 for 1 week and I'm finding I'm feeling so pissed off at stupid little things. I rang my GP today and she was busy but spoke to the head nurse who said to go back up to 20mg for a while and if I still feel sh*tty then book in to see my GP. When I was put on the meds I was suffering huge anxiety and sleeping issues - not feeling annoyed. The nurse said that this can sometimes be the bodies way of saying a person's not ready to drop down just yet...has anyone had this before?
My sleeping and anxiety are fine

Edited by Brenna
