Strategies I've used - DVD, having a water table just outside with cups and brushes so he can wash the house, chalk - draw pics on the drive while I feed on the back doorstep, playdough on the coffee table in front of me ....
It does settle down as they make the adjustment. If it is particually mean I will put him in his bedroom even stop BFing to do it.

I'n the beginning I had a playpen so that the baby could have some time out, pinning a duvet to the bottom so DS1 couldn't get in, and I could go do some stuff knowing that the baby isn't going to be sat on.
And planning BFing helps, turning on Tv, playing a DVD setting up drawing is good, because they soon learn that when you are BFing they can get into mischief

Read a book, play a game, watch tv? Where do you bf? I always bf on the couch so there is planty of room for Jack to sit beside me.

I used to always make up a snack box the night before as well so I could whip it out if Jack was hungry while I bf Ben

Good luck

DD1 is lashing out at DD2 every chance she gets and it is only getting worse.

She says she loves her sister and then kisses her, then hugs her, then the hugs get tighter and tighter till we have to pull her off, then she lashes out by hitting her or grabbing and pulling her arm or leg. The other day she threw the remote at her head - I was mortified!

Would love some advice and suggestions to what I can do to stop this behaviour. It is always worse when I am BFing so I think it is just an attention thing...
