Thanks ladies! We did a whole day of bare bum time the day before yesterday which worked well, then back into knickers yesterday and she was great, no leaks! Even braved taking her to the mall in knickers, went to the loo before we left and after we got there, and before leaving the mall and she stayed dry the whole time no accidents so far today either so think we're getting somewhere now

I agree with lots of bare bum time.   Whenever you're home, have her with no undies or pants on and leave a potty in the main room where she's playing, so that she can just take herself there. Also get her to sit on it every so often to 'see if any wees are hiding'.   I do bare bum for at least a week.

Also lots of talk - I don't think she'd understand about mini nappies that don't absorb wee lol, but telling her that now she's a big girl she can wear undies like mummy and daddy. And that undies aren't like nappies... she can't do wees in them like she used to in her nappies, cos it will all run down her legs and make a big yucky mess. But that whenever she feels wees coming, she has to run to the loo and do her wees in there. Maybe try having no absorbtion in the nappies and doing them loose enough to pull on and off like undies for a couple of days to see if that makes a better intro into undies? Dan was exactly the same. I think it's just the sensation is different with knickers and they get distracted by the knickers.

I left it for a couple of weeks then tried again. Just kept going with bum time (being nude). When we tried again, we had success. Hi, my DD is only 22months, but for the last two months she's been asking to go to the toilet to do wees, and has started doing poos on the toilet in the last couple of weeks too.
We use cloth nappies, and when she has a nappy on she will come and tell me she needs to go, so I'll take her to the toilet and she'll go and the nappy is pretty much always dry so we can have a day of using just one or two nappies.

The weird thing is, if I put her in knickers, she will wee in them without fail!!! If she has knickers on she won't tell me she needs to go to the toilet like she will if she has a nappy on, she will just wee in the knickers!! I even ask her if she needs to do wees, and she says no, like just now she said no, then wee'd on me and the couch!

Why is this happening? I would think maybe she's not ready, but then why can she tell me she needs to go when she has a nappy on? Any suggestions?
