At least then I could get some work done or get a shower in!! At one point she was only sleeping 20 minutes all day so its definitely better. Sorry, getting off topic here!!

Morning sleep - time to drop it? : How many naps a day is she having?...

    Author: High9
Subject: 37269
Posted: 31 December 2010 at 11:39am

How many naps a day is she having? And what's her afternoon nap like?

Lily tends to get up about 6-7am and is up for 3 hours (max) or 2.5 (min) has a nap of 2 hours then is up for about 3-4hours and has another 2 hour nap in the after noon and bed is 7-8.30pm.

However... Sometimes I can keep Lily up for that first nap by an extra 2 hours so say she gets up at 7 - rather than having a nap at 10 I can save it until about 12 (1pm latest) and she'll sleep about 3 hours...

So for me, I would just keep her up and she would take her nap later if that makes sense...

    Author: Millyz
Subject: 37269
Posted: 31 December 2010 at 11:32am

Hi all

I'm looking for some advice here. My 10 month old bubs is starting daycare (two times a week) in about 4 weeks. At the moment she wakes anywhere between 5.45am and 7.00am, she gets a bottle or a breastfeed then goes back to bed for about fourty five minutes to an hour. She still seems to need this nap and almost always goes back to sleep very easily.

However we start two days per week of daycare soon and we will need to leave the house by 7.15am on those days. Do I start dropping that morning nap and just keep her up or do I carry on as normal and just try to keep her up on her "daycare days" and she can nap in the car on the way in?

I want to do what is best for Lizzie, not me. Is she too old now for that nap? Although that morning nap is handy for getting things done - exercise, showering etc!!!

Any advice gratefully accepted!!
