I also used the safety sleep for a while as well.

Jackson had some little merino PJs under his sleeping bag, and in winter we had an oil heater with a thermostat to keep the room warm. So we didn't use extra blankets and still don't to this day (Jackson is still in a sleeping bag now). However, I am pretty sure lots of people have used blankets over top without issues.

My DD stopped being wrapped at a couple of weeks old, and in her GoGo bag from about 4 months. We have a summer weight bag, and in winter I had a sheet with light wool and cotton blankets as well, I just have nice thin ones so I can do smaller layers rather than a big thick one. Has anyone used a gogo bag and wrap at the same time? Or does he need to adjust to complete arm freedom before we start using the bag?

Second question is we live in Canterbury and I saw on the Merino Kids website apparently extra blankets aren't needed once they're in a bag. I would think though that South Island winters being what they are would mean he would need a wool blanket as the weather got colder. (It's a standard weight bag). What have other SI mums done?

Thanks!
