I read that they are actually the 2-3yr molars. So quite common for them not to come through until 3 if not older.

my 2.7 yo has 3 of his, but didn't start getting them till about 2.5. They are usually referred to as the 2yo molars and they start cutting them anytime from 2yrs onwards, although they can cut earlier. When brushing teeth today, realised DS doesn't have his 2nd molars yet - when do they get them is it around 2 or anytime from 2 to 3??
