Our bubba held on to his wind and we found this helped a little. just above their nappy line.....you could google the sharlene Poole the 'baby whisperer' - its part of her technique. Our bubba also slept on his tummy which worked wonders!

We also use Colimed (nutrapharm) and took him to an osteo but that is an extra cost. good luck!

I stopped burping DS more than a month ago. He used to need heaps of patting to get up the wind, but he genuinely doesn't need that now at all. I know that's no use to you, sorry, I just couldn't help buy comment because I was surprised. That's the first thing he's ever done earlier than other babies

Often it's just sitting her on our knee after a bottle but once every couple of days we have trouble bringing up her wind. We don't give her anything for it though because it's only about 10-15 minutes of trying before bed.

I have tried patting or rubbing her back, leaning forward, no nappy on, over my shoulder, on her tummy/crawling around. She has never burped lying down and has never been a spilly baby. I try and get her to watch something so she sits still for a moment so the air can escape, but it doesnt always work.

oh and she has always been a good burper, its just the stupid little ones at the end that have been getting worser and worser (i know its not a word, but it works! lol)

Edited by Aethalia

So I'd still need to wind him too or if I put to sleep he'd be sick. But he seemed happy enough without the extra burping. I can't remember exactly when I stopped needing to burp him myself, but maybe a couple of months after that?

No answers on helping bring it up easier though, as infacol is what we've always used too.

She still hasnt learnt to burp by herself- her burps are just the wind coming up when they feel like it. She quite often has a BF before bed, she will then do a couple of really good burps, I will lie her down for a wee while (she doesnt roll), and sit her up and she will have some more. However after putting her to bed she wont go to sleep (i have tried leaving her), and i often spend up to an hour trying to get a tensy tiny burp out. Other times i can hear the liquid sloshing about in her stomach like a drink bottle, but the burps just wont come up.

Infacol doesnt work, and water brings wind up but then gives her more, I cant really afford to buy anything else to help.

I suppose im lucky in the fact that she is happy and smiley the whole time, but i really would like to be able to feed her, burp her and put her in bed and not have to go back in over and over. Any ideas?
