We drove Auck - Palmerston Nth and back for christmas and I was 33wks+ without any problems. I took my notes with me just in case anything did happen, but it was fine! I needed to stop and pee about every 2hrs, which was a good time limit to have a stretch and walk around anyway.

I havent been to any festivals etc whilst preggo, but my bestie in the UK went to Glastonbury (so much much much crazier than WOMAD) when she was 30wks and said that she was fine so long as she stayed hydrated and was really careful what she ate!

Good on you - I think it sounds wonderful!

I traveled from NP to Coromandal at 27weeks which is a bit different but I was fine. Just took plenty of snacks and pillows and wore the most comfy clothes I could find.

Rememeber to bring your midwife notes, *should* something happen, then you can take them to the hosp or whereever and they'll be able to know everything about your pregnancy.

The bowl of brooklands is awesome, bring a picnic blanket and you can just lie down if you're feeling tired. It's not the kind of festival
where you have to be standing the whole time

I say go lol, you'll love it!
I'm taking my baby who will be 11.5 months. Can't wait!!!!

Yeah our bach is 3.5 hours drive away but there I'm not walking quite a distance from the camping spot and around all day. Gosh I must have been at least 33wks pg with Jack when we went to the bach my parents had bought for the first time. It was a 3hrs drive and apart from a very sudden need to stop for the loo once, the trip there and back was fine. I slept on a fold out bed which wasn't too bad and helped repaint the inside of the bach (purple everything wasn't quite our colour scheme!)

It's a personal thing I'm sure.
With DS the late stages were quite uneventful (hoping for the same again ) I was the size of a whale and sleeping was a bit of a hassle but I did plenty of 2hr drives and staying away from home. I found the most anoying thing finding food I felt was safe. Didn't want to eat at random cafe's and the like.

When I was away over xmas holidays, we stayed with friends and there was a 34wk preg woman sleeping in a tent and running after a 2 1/2 yr old. Hi eveyone,

I really really want to go to Womad 2011 - New Plymouth in March but will be 33 weeks pregnant.

I have been so bored and Womad seems like such a pleasant festival to go to.
We have the use of a nice campervan so I have my own toilet for night (perfect right?!) but my friends and husband are concerned I'll be too far along and uncomfortable to enjoy it for the costs and travel from Auckland.
I do get really painful heels with one nerve on one heel that has played up so could make walking around difficult but it seems like such a relaxed, family orientated environment that it such a small thing to deal with for such a nice time.

What do you all think?
