I know that this is not the question, but the formula feeding guidelines don't apply for exclusively breastfed infants.

I think the old 50ml amounts work well for cluster feeding. Me neither that's why I split her 150mls over the hour as she'd drink the first 50-70mls no probs then take ages to drink the rest of not want it and I'd end up tipping the last 50mls out. I found I could usually get the last 50mls into her towards the end of her awake time and she'd go off to sleep.

Our little guy stopped cluster feeding at 13 weeks when we introduced a bottle of EBM - he started taking about 150-180mls and now does up to 240ml (at 18 weeks). LOL - 20ml was plenty here tonight - knocked him out I think he's finding the bottle tiring cos it's new and more work than the boob. That's OK, I'm happy with little and often. At least at night, I can easily top him up afterward if it's not enough. My girls would also cluster feed for those hours so I introduced a 150ml EBM bottle after their bath and then a BF top up soon after. Zac has his normal sized bottle (150ml) after his bath around 6.30/7pm then we try and get him to sleep. Sometimes he'll just doze then wake up still hungry so we make up 50ml to give him. When we give Catherine a bottle we give her 100mls around 7pm then another 50mls an hour later usually she'd fall asleep on the second bottle.

We're just introducing some EBM bottles for DS2 and will give them in the evenings so DH can do it.

Ben normally clusterfeeds from 6-9pm. For those who are bottle feeding and have clusterfeeders, how much would you give for each feed?
