So will let you know how that goes. It definitely helps and has given a bit of alleviation of the morning sickness too, though it's still very much there! I had reflexology to try and shift my son who was 18 days late. It didn't work in my case (he was determined to stay put) but does work in many cases and may be more appealing to those who don't like needles. However if baby and Mum are healthy I'm a believer in not worrying too much about due dates,  let them come in their own sweet time. . ]]>

No such luck - though I went into labour naturally and wasn't induced (10 days over) so who knows how different it would have been.  Not going to do it this time around though so will be interesting to see if there's a difference.]]>

They also put in a couple of needles for heartburn and sciatica and both disappeared straight away.<br /><br />I was a sceptic before this but am a convert now!  Oh and it cost $50 but was so worth it and no kalimirella the needles dont hurt, in fact I barely felt most of them apart from when they wriggle them and even that was nothing.]]>

Unfortunately it didn't bring labour on but not through the fault of acupuncture (DD was stuck and head twisted).<br /><br />I definitely think it helped my recovery, I was up and walking within a few hours of an emergency c-section and transferred from the hospital within 24 hours and came right pretty quickly.]]>

He told me i would go into labour within 24hrs and it was just over that.  <br />I would ask if the practioner has worked with preg people before and especially if they do it to induce labour.  And maybe if they give any naturopathic stuff afterwards?  (I got given some drops as well).  Good luck hun, being overdue SUCKS!]]>

I would definitely do it again. Now I am overdue and i am having induction acupuncture along with stretching and sweeping... feels good to be doing something rather than nothing and the acupuncture is nice relaxation time. ]]>
