Well I'm certainly feeling kicks these days and as for growing maybe bigger... well the bigger the better is probably the case for me as I always measure low on the fundal height scheme of things. We haven't started those measurements yet this time around but with the other two (one 7lb 3oz, then 8lb, 4oz) I measured 1-2cm behind the whole way.]]>

It did take a while for to feel the movements as with my first I felt them at 16 weeks. With Blake it was more like 20 I think. Im not so sure about the "bigger baby" part. Blake was 5 weeks prem but a good 6pd10 born..so possibly could be some meaning in it!!!<br /><br />The only time they get worried about it is if the Placenta is lying over the cervix and does not move during your pregnancy. <br /><br /><br />See ys all]]>

Not alot of problems though.  as long as not covering the birth canel.  It does mean that you will probably have to wait to feel the baby kick more and if at front not as strong.  Also means that you may grow bigger because 'extra' at the front. These are all true in my case.]]>

I read somewhere that only 5% of pregancnys have anterior placenta, but I dont know if thats true or not.  It meant that I didnt feel babies movements as early as most others, but other than that, it doenst really have too much affect?  ]]>

(hopeful!)<br /><br />Oh I'm not concerned with BH this early, I had them early with Hannah too (not Briona - how strange).     <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=10436">Andie</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 3786<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 18 September 2006 at 3:33pm<br /><br /><P>Heya!&nbsp; I would say we should chat about this on Sunday, but chances of me going out then are a bit slim!&nbsp; Same story with me - it's the placenta sitting at the front of your uterus, on the belly-button-side of it.&nbsp; I was told that this could delay my feeling the baby kick for a few weeks, as it kind-of cushions things, and that the only thing about it that could ever be a problem is that the baby mightn't be keen to face your back for delivery, so could increase your chances of a 'back-labour'.&nbsp; That said, my midwife tells me that some babies will just face whatever way they want to, regardless of where things are at in there, and some do turn to face the right way during labour anyway.&nbsp; It shouldn't mean early BH though, least, not that I've been told.&nbsp; But at 23 weeks it's not too early for them, is it?&nbsp; </P><P>An anterior placenta isn't something to worry about.&nbsp; Hope that's reassuring!&nbsp; </P>]]>
