The bathroom cupboards cant be locked, so that door now has to be shut. We have a old house- the windows either slide upwards or are hinged on the side and pen like a door- dont think its possible to put saftey locks on them. Aidens bedroom window is level with the bed in there- so cant open that cos he loves it and Im scared he could be up on the bed and out the window. I follow him around everywhere but it would only take a min when Im doing the washing or in the shower or something.

Thanks for your tips everyone

You might be able to put a chair/stool by the bathroom door so that Isla can climb on it to access the door handle - that's what we have. Does he climb to access things or climb for the sake of climbing? My climbers just climbed for fun so I have let them on the coffee table etc rather than hinder them. Now they have very good balance, a lot better than the others who weren't interested in climbing.
