Thanks for that Blondy! I had an enlarged reactive lymph node on my neck for months after I had been sick with some random viral infection (I ended up having a fine needle aspirate done on it - owie, but nothing wrong thank goodness). It did take ages to go away, but in my case, because I kept checking it (i.e. touching the lump), it caused it to hang around longer! It doesn't seem to be bothering her. Didn't want to read and run, honest answer is I don't know, but I think it can be a really long time.

I would get them checked to be safe.

Years ago I got something and got a swollen lump that has never gone away, the Dr said its just turned into a watery/fatty lump now but there is nothing wrong.

How long can lymph nodes stay swollen for?

Lilia had chicken pox at New Years and the lymph node behind one of her ears swelled to look like a golf ball.

Anyway a couple of days ago, I noticed that it is still swollen, however no where near as big as it was. So how long does it take for them to go down?
