And bm of course.  He's above the 97th percentile for length and weight, so I know it's not affecting his growth.  It's just frustrating, I had hoped he'd be on solids a little more by now.<br />We've tried baby led weaning, he'll put anything non-edible in his mouth, but if I give him a piece of pumpkin or apple shaped like a chip he'll try it, make a face, and it won't go anywhere near his mouth again.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;]]>

You can't force them to eat and as long as he's still getting plenty of breastmilk I'm sure he'll be fine.]]>

I night weaned him to see if that helped, but it didn't make any difference.<br /><br />I think just try to go with it (although it is hard!) and if he is happy and healthy, all is well. We did that, and although DS mostly played with it, eventually he would put things in his mouth. Will he just pick it up and eat it himself? I know my girl never really ate anything off a spoon (we did decide to do BLW, but I think we would have been forced to anyway!). ]]>

I totally understand the frustration <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley31.gif" border="0"> <br />She was never into food until she weaned off the breast at 18 ish months and even then never ate loads. <br /><br />She does eat quite well most days now although she has her moments but that's toddlers for you.  <br /><br />I know this isn't much help and I foud it hard to believe when I first heard it but if he is gaining and happy and settled the he is fine.  He will eat one day <img border="0" src="https://www.ohbaby.co.nz/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif" border="0">  You can't force the issue. <br /><br />As long as he is being BF he will be sweet just make sure you keep up your fluid intake and eat really well. He has never been interested in food and most days barely eats anything.&nbsp;I don't think he is fussy eater&nbsp;just&nbsp;not interested in food and doesn't seem to understand that when you are hungry food fills you up.&nbsp;&nbsp;He is still b/f and LOVES this millk. He will cry/grizzle if he is hungry but if I offer him food he will eat maybe 4-5 tsp and then refuse to eat anymore and grizzle until I give him a b/f. He has 3-4 b/f during the day and a couple of overnight (I am working on cutting him back as I am hoping this might help him eat more food during the day....but TBH I don't think it is going to help).</P><P align=left>&nbsp;</P><P align=left>He is gaining weight well- tracking along the 50% pencile and has been since birth - so that isn't a problem, I am just concerned that he should be eating more food and its&nbsp; getting quite frustrating. </P><P align=left>&nbsp;</P><P align=left>So my questions are. Has anyone got a baby/toddler who doesn't really eat? Did they eventually outgrew it? How do I get him to understand that food fills you up? </P><P align=left>&nbsp;</P>]]>
