One of the girls in our antenatal group was similar - she rolled everywhere and had no need to crawl. I think she was about 15 or so months old, when she started to stand and walk (can't remember if she crawled for a bit or not). I think she may have had a little bit of trouble putting all of her weight on her feet properly, and walking properly at first, and had to see a specialist. But I'm pretty sure she's all good now. I'd just keep an eye on her, and if you think she might having trouble, then see a specialist.

It then took her another month to work out proper crawling as a means of getting places so I really wouldn't worry about that. I agree with Chickoin - enjoy the ease of a non-crawling baby whilst you can! And I reckon those people mustn't have kids - and if they do then they bloody well should know better!
Not sure about the standing though. Does she 'stand' if she's leaning against the sofa maybe reaching for a toy or something?

If she has been checked out and is fine I am sure she will get there in her own time. Not nice though when people say they should be doing something by a certain age.

Not to brag but just to say she may suddenly do it. My DD wouldn't put any weight on her feet either(literally at all) and only commando crawls. 4 days ago she started pulling herself up and standing properly. She is 11mths. I thought there would be more of an inbetween stage like with DS but she just suddenly did it and nows pulls herself up all the time.

She has been very tired though and has been needing her naps earlier which is a pain cos I like to try and keep them in sync.

Once at 6 months and again as a follow up about a month ago and all was normal. The reason they checked her hips was because of the fact she had a extra fold on her left thigh.
Isla is really good at getting around the place by rolling. She can sit up from lying, and can go from sitting to hands and knees but then she just gets straight onto her tummy and rolls.
Plunket did tell me that babies can only learn one thing at a time and she is quite advanced in other things that babies her age don't normally learn till after they learn to crawl.walk etc so maybe she is just doing things back to front.
It's just so disheartening when people ask how old she is and when I tell them they say 'oh she will be crawling/walking all over the place now wont she!?' and when I say no they are like 'oh, really, she should be by now, is there something wrong with her?'
