We couldn't really afford to change from a MB to Phil&Teds and I didn't want to try and maneuver a dbl MB through the shops, plus we have no room to store a double. DD loves being on the board most of the time and it was very useful when we had the carrycot in the MB.

The board is really only useful for short walks or at the mall, and our one has an awful turning circle, but it has worked fine for what we need. I sometimes wish we had something I could take them further in, but I'll reassess as DS gets older.

Definitely go with what you think will work for your child, and what you plan to do with the kids.

Jake has only just started being OK with walking more than a few minutes! But I agree that it depends on the child, Jake loved the buggy and I had no problems keeping him in one. He would still choose to sit in one if he could. My neice on the other hand didn't want to go in hers by 2.5. She isn't as heavy as Jake who's 19.7kgs tho!!! I think the toddler board would be a great idea. We bought a bike with an adult push-handle, and when we go for walks (for the sake of getting out, rather than needing to go somewhere), DD1 rides on that, and I wear DD2 in the moby and everyone's happy . I would think that the board would be a great idea. I use a moose noose attached to my buggy when I am looking after little ones with my toddler. It is a pain he wont sit in the buggy much anymore but so not worth the arguements.

We currently have a mountain buggy so was thinking I will just get my very handy DH to make a toddler board.

Did you use a double buggy with this age gap? If so which one?
