I have one of those Warehouse lazyboy style recliners that rocks. I love it! Since our spare room is becoming the new babies room we are putting a popup bed in there. This is so that we still have somewhere to put the grandparents when they come to stay and of course it'll be DD's bed when she's big enough. I'm buying plenty of cushions so I can sit comfortably and do night feeds.

We bought two lazy-boy style chairs off TradeMe, and they're wonderful. I have one in the lounge, and one in his room. Whatever it is you need to be able to get out smoothly - sucks to be sitting comfy having spent hours soothing a baby to sleep then having to jerk/shuffle/scootch your way to the edge of the couch to stand up as all the jiggling wakes them!

I got a purpose b/f chair for the record - it was brill for the first few weeks as it was set up with a table with water, pump etc but now we feed sitting up in bed at night or on the couch because like others said he kicks around. I agree, I always wanted one so we found one when I was pg with Jack. It wasn't really that comfy.

I've just bought a reclining chair with a foot stool (abit like the baby city one) off TM for $60! I think it'll be perfect and it looks nice too. Will let you know how I find it in a cple of wks . I agree re the mocka ones not being comfy, cuz I wanted one too!
We got a lazy boy style material one from teh warehouse, last i saw they were $199 on clearance, it has the perfect smooth rock, is cheap, material cleans well (cuz invariably gets the odd milk spill on it) and the arm rests are in a good position to get real comfy. highly recommend! I originally wante dleather for easy clean, but practically it would be cold in winter and sticky and sweaty in summer so happy with the material one now! is a brown kinda suade.

I looked at the ones at baby city and I am not impressed at the fabric of them. It is the type of fabric that is going to tear and rub really easy.
Just be warned if you buy one of these.

I am going to start testing out breastfeeding chairs later in pregnancy. I just sat on the couch in the day and lay in bed at night..but thats coz we cosleep so I didn't need to get up.

I have one of the Mocka ones with the foot stool and have found it great, haven't found it too laid back, but I do put a cushion behind my back. I have an office chair with arms - it swivels, rocks a bit and goes up and down! I second Lil Nic on the Lazaboy, they rock well and are less likely to get a little one's hand or foot crushed under it. I got one at a secondhand store for $90! i got an arm chair like a lazyboy but much cheaper at big save. it has a foot rest, but doesn't recline - which worked for us because the nursery is so small there is no room to recline. I think it was about $300. I have a lazy boy too. It's been an absolute lifesaver, especially when I end up sitting up most of the night with a sick baby. At least in the lazy boy you can be dozing and bub is nice and secure on your lap. Also the wooden ones! Try the Sallies and other 2nd Hand/Op shops! Ring around and see if they can source one for you! Hmm I recommend a lazy boy or the ones from Baby City/Baby Factory (the black leathery ones). I tested the Mocka ones at the P&C show and wasn't that keen tbh, was a bit too low etc and for me I really wanted something that I could get out of easily whilst carrying DD and not having hands free. We actually ended up buying a couch (folds out as a bed) haha... I really recommend either a lazyboy or a comfy chair with a foot stool. I think the foot stool is the main thing i always wanted to rest my feet on, id get dead legs easily so with a foot stool i could stretch out etc.

Baby City sell this one. I searched high and low for one as didn't have a spare $400 and ended up getting a 2nd hand one off Trademe. It's the same as this one. Hi all

I am trying to hunt down a breatfeeding chair, it doesnt need to be specially for that, but comfortable enough :)

I have looked at the ones farmers sell, similar to the mocka ones and really didnt find them that comfortable and were too laid back

Ideally I would love an old fashioned wooden rocking chair but cant find anywhere they sells them new.

any one have any suggestions for me?
