I don't know how much it helped painwise but it gave me something to do when I had contractions, so at the very least it distracted me a bit and I will use one again for my next birth.
They don't cost much to hire so I reckon there's no harm in trying it.

It didn't seem to do much for me, but I might have started using it a bit late too. But a great distraction for a bit at least.

One of my good friends used it and thought it was fantastic and it was the only pain relief she used. I'm still going to give it another go this time just in case.

Maybe there's a hosp up there that'll do the same?

The only problem is that you have to pick it up once you're in labour. Hubby went to pick it up but before he got there another women grabbed it, annoying thing is that this woman was someone in our antenatal class that I told about the TENS machine. I should've kept my mouth shut.

Good luck!
