I started loosing my Mucous plug (the snotty stuff) 10 days before my waters broke.
I didnt loose the bloody show until I was well into labour, about 30 minutes before Jackson was born.

Most people loose their mucous plug first (which can have blood streaks through it) and dont loose their bloody show until after labour has started. I had mine 1 week before DD came. Was really dissapointed because i hoped that whole week id go into labour.

I had mine (pinkish colour) 5 days before DD was born. Although I was induced due to hind water breaking (4days after show) and nothing happening by itself. With DS i had been having mild contractions all day and then at somewhere between 8 and 9pm that night had a heavy bloody show which freaked me out! Had my show at 5pm on the 19th and thought nothing of it and at 9.30pm that night waters broke and went to the hospital at 10am on the 20th (due to waters breaking) was 6cm but only half of waters gone so had 2nd half broken and by about 2pm I was 7cm and she was born after having some syntocin at 5 to speed things along (still 7cm) at 8.08pm! But MW said you can lose you show for weeks before you go into labour!

ETA: My show wasn't bloody - I lost the mucous plug at 5 and when my waters broke at 9.30 was when it was bloody/pink tinged water and thats when MW confirmed it was a show and nothing to panic about. I know I had my show at 5 as it was a huuuuuge snotty glob lol and I'd been watching like manic as I'd had a lot of watery discharge weeks beforehand.

Hehe, this was me. Except I had a bloody show (and in retrospect a hindwaters leak) at 37 weeks. So I arranged to finish up work the next day (I'd been planning on going till 38+5), and then sat around twiddling my thumbs until 41+3, so over a MONTH later

My bloody show came around 8am (40+6) and I went into labour at 8.30pm that same night.

Just wondering how long you had your bloody show for before things started?

With Leah I had my show then went into labour the same day. But I started having my show since Monday night but not to much happening!!
