The problem with codeine etc is that it doesn't address the cause, and I found a couple of sessions was just enough to stop not only the migraines, but headaches stopped for months as well.
Also try a wheatpack on the back of your neck along with the cold pack on the forehead. My doctor reckoned it helped with tension and I have to admit it did seem to help.

Its really hard having a toddler because i just cant function and DD has had to go to MIL for the day.

Ive taken codeine which was prescribed from the doctor and the pharmacist said its fine to take. It didnt make the migraine go but just turned it into a bad headache. But at least i could get out of bed.

Panadol, Panadiene, Codiene is ok to take but of course not on a regular basis. I get headaches weekly quite bad but wont take anything other than panadol unless i get a migraine, because i want something to work then.

Go see you GP, there could be reasons you are getting them

I hid in a dark room with a cold (or really hot) flannel on my forehead and back of my neck.
I used Maxalon for the unbearable ones. It's class B for use during pregnancy, which means something like; it's a relatively new drug, hasn't been tested on pregnant women, but the ones who have taken it haven't had any issues.

How is your blood pressure?
