Yup, by about 6 months I just left it round his neck. I bought my DD one at 8 months old and I've only ever taken it off to clean it... theres nothing in/on her bed that it could get caught on, and they are designed to break if enough pressure is put on it to prevent choking. I don't have one, but I have heard of people wrapping them around baby's ankle like a bracelet. Quick question for those of you who use these, do you leave the necklaces on while they are asleep? My daughter is waking up at night with teething pain, and have been down the teething powder/bonjela/pamol route.  I am worried about them being a  choking hazard, and wondered if a teething bracelet might be a better idea?
