DD loves her honey sticks still (although felts are now becoming a fav) I never had any issues with them not coming off things that were not meant to get drawn on. The honey sticks are great, and smell so yummy! My only issue was DS thought so too, and decided they also tasted yummy! I just couldn't get him to stop eating them! Crayola really do just wipe off everything, well worth the extra expense.

We have Faber Castel ones, they're a triangular shape - big and easy to hold, non toxic, etc. Lily loves them! Can't remember how much they were sorry but we got them from Warehouse Stationary. So I thinking of getting some crayons for DS to use. As he's had a go with my felt pens, but they are messy!
