I think she had to write a letter to him. I probably would have gone and seen him, except I never heard from him and the RPL clinic appt came up after 3 months (and the rest is history).
Would your GP be able to write a letter of recommendation? Or maybe just give him a ring
http://www2.everybody.co.nz/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1148767&page=1&fpart=1 found this thread, don't know if you've already been over there?

Maybe PM one of the posters on therefor his contact details if they're not listed online?
Goodluck, hon

Edited by spanky77

Does Michael Sangalli see patients prior to pregnancy?

My husband and I ttc for almost 4 years with 4 miscarriages before our daughter was born. She's just been dx with Aspergers and anxiety, so it's been a HARD almost 6 years with her.

I have had 3 losses since she was born. 2 ordinary miscarriages and a loss of twins.

I have had every test under the sun and all they can come up with is elevated testosterone, though I have arthritis so it's probably an autoimmune thing with my body attacking the developing babies.

I take 5mg of Prednisone daily and had hoped it would help not reject a pregnancy but it doesn't seem to have worked.

We were thinking of heading in to Fertility Associates but I'd rather not go the horrid Clomid route just because it's cheap to prescribe.

I haven't heard of either of these doctors listed above and my curiosity is piquied!

Also, I was told there is a miscarriage support group starting the 2nd week in July in Ngaio.

This is what was emailed to me:

A new Wellington group has formed and will begin having their meetings in July. This is from the site:

Venue will be the Ngaio Plunket Rooms at 65 Ottawa Road
First meeting is Monday 4th July
7:30pm start

Please come along for a cup of tea and talk.

We will meet every first Monday of the month.

Please feel free to call Sarah between meetings on
Ph.(04) 384 4272
or email her on
WgtnMiscarriageSupport@xtra.co.nz

Just be aware that this is a very hard time and you need to cut yourself some slack and if possible tell some other people so they can support you. Close monitoring of the pregnancy (through regular blood tests and scans) can be reassuring if it shows things are progressing normally. However, they can cause extra stress if they have unclear results. Try and keep faith that you will have a baby (because almost everyone who experiences recurrent mc does) hopefully from this pregnancy but if not from another one. Good luck.

I gather you have had a diagnosis for the clexane etc.
I went through the public hospital for recurrent pregnancy loss (karyotyping I'm guessing yes, but have you had this done?) so they're still investigating. I thought Jeremy Tuohy was still there - there's a door with his name plaque on it anyway. Not sure about first trimester support - not got that far, but I would have thought if there was some definite issue they would monitor you closely after 5 losses.
MC group closed last December when the facilitator moved out of area (I went to a few of those meetings too . . .) but I think its Sarah who is still here as a contact just no groups running. They're still completely emailable if you need support, but I'm guessing its more early pregnancy than mc stuff that you want?
