The day he learnt to crawl brought music to my ears but as 1st_Time_Preggies says - he def has that temperament and now just gets frustrated about other things!!!! :)

I am afraid this sentence explains all to me, in fact I waiting for you to say there was reflux involved from sentence 3. If you have ever had heartburn you know how hard it is to get comfy, maybe this is part of the agitation?

Maybe a developmental stage, but also, are you sure you have the reflux under control? Do the meds need adjusting due to weight gains, are you trying solids?

Reflux always flared up when teething for DS1 too.

Edited by maya22

My DS has always been full on, busy, and gets annoyed quickly if things don't go his way. He was rolling at three months, crawling at six, standing at 7 months. But actually didn't walk till he was a year (I think because crawling got him there faster).

He gets super annoyed at the drop of a hat, and although I do try to "help" him when I can, I think these things are either developmental or personality related so there isn't much you can do!

Sorry I haven't actually got any advice, just wanted to let you know, your bubba isn't the only one

    Author: snugglebug
Subject: 38812
Posted: 14 April 2011 at 9:50pm

My boy is nearly 5 months old and lately he seems really agitated. He's trying to crawl, he desperately wants to move, sit, etc he's a very strong and determined bub who wants to master everything but he can't quite do it yet. He also gets bored really easily so have to have a lot for him to do. He quite often stiffens up his body to try and fight sleep or if he doesn't want to do something and he rolls whenever he is on his back and gets annoyed if he can't eg on the change mat.

Is this just a developmental stage? He's teething as well so that's annoying him too.

Is there anything I can do to help him get through it/relax? He sleeps fine and can self settle but it can be really hard to get him to relax long enough to do so, he's always so tense. He's a very happy thriving baby most of the time but he seems on edge at the moment desperately trying to move.

Hope that makes sense. He has reflux so he's always been a big highly strung anyway but this seems different somehow.
